Month-end accounting wants hours. Co-counsel wants a high-level load picture. The same calendar holds both needs; the same file should not.
Titles are identifiers
Default calendar exports treat titles as harmless labels. In practice they are identifiers.
Two files, two audiences
Generate two outputs when needed: original titles for a sealed internal log, and “Work” or daily-totals-only for anything that might be emailed.

Two audiences, two files
I keep an internal export with real titles in a folder that does not sync to random devices. Anything leaving the building gets a second export with titles replaced or removed. Renaming the attachment is not redaction.

Still not a certified legal timesheet
Court rules, firm billing systems, and ethical walls are outside this utility. The spreadsheet is a reviewable aid. If your firm mandates another system, that system wins.

Can I export attorney hours without client names in the file?
Yes. Replace every title with “Work,” or export daily totals only so event-level names never enter the file.
Does Calendar2XL upload legal calendar data?
Version 1.1 processes selected content on device and does not require a Calendar2XL account for export. Sharing a finished file is a separate action you control.
Is the export a certified legal timesheet?
No. It is a user-reviewable spreadsheet derived from calendar events, not a substitute for mandated billing systems.
